LANZHOU, July 29 (Xinhua) -- The administration committee for the Mogao Grottoes in northwest China has drafted an emergency plan to control the flow of tourists for the summer.

The plan will be in effect during odd-numbered dates in July and even-numbered dates in August, with a maximum of 12,000 tickets to be issued daily. Visitors can book tickets one day prior to their visit.

Tickets under the emergency plan will also be reserved on a real name basis.

The Mogao Grottoes feature a huge collection of Buddhist art, with more than 2,000 colored sculptures and 45,000 square meters of frescoes in 735 caves carved along a cliff. Listed in 1987, it was China's first UNESCO World Heritage Site.

"Straight Outta Compton" is a box office force. The N.W.A biopic earned $60.2 million in its opening weekend — even more than Sunday estimates suggested — according to actual totals released Monday.

Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures co-financed the film about the seminal hip-hop group, which opened on 2,757 screens in North America. It cost only $29 million to produce.

In addition to more than doubling its production budget, "Straight Outta Compton" represents the biggest opening for a musical biopic ever — smashing previous record-holder "Walk the Line's" $22.3 million.

Warner Bros.' stylish period spy thriller "The Man From U.N.C.L.E" did not fare as well. The $80 million film earned a paltry $13.4 million for a third-place spot, behind "Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation."

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- "Wushu is really fun and I enjoy it a lot," Henry Barna, a 9-year-old student at a local martial arts school, told Xinhua Wednesday, referring to the Chinese term for marial arts.

The excitement appeared to be even greater as a professional coaching team from China was teaching traditional Chinese sports at the school for two days.

The team including five coaches came from the Chinese Leisure Sports Administrative Center. It's the first time they came to the United States to teach traditional Chinese sports. The two-day program mainly focused on three sports: dragon and lion dance, Chinese folk dance (Yangge) and Taiji softball (Rouliqiu).

"All the students, both adults and children, are having so much fun," Wang Wei, head coach at Wushu Unlimited martial arts school, said, smiling. "They can learn something while having fun. They will experience the Chinese culture and also have a good workout."

Wang Wei, who also has experience teaching Wushu at California State University Fullerton (CSUF) on a weekly basis, said Americans were familiar with the dragon and lion dance, as well as Chinese folk dances.

"It is the thing I saw a lot in China, and sometimes here in the U.S.," Jennifer Johnson, co-founder of Wushu Unlimited, said. "It is really a thrill f.
