I use a Crisco based lube when using toys. When cleaning them I currently use washing up liquid and very hot water to wash and rinse them. This takes quite a while as there are usually quite a few large toys to wash. Can someone give me any tips for washing toys in a dishwasher. I know silicone toys are diswasher safe but what about other materials. Also, I've heard thsat you should never use disherwasher tablets or powder as it is far too harsh. Any suugestions for other detergents or soap that can be safily used in the dishwasher with toys.

Both vinyl and silicone are quite detergent resistant.    BEST to allow them to air dry, or use a towel.   No heat.   silicone should take the heat, as should most vinyls on the top rack.    Jelly vinyls may lack heat resistance.   Hand/air dry.
